Overall

The 1999 Suzuki Katana is a great bike.  It has very attractive styling and is a very comfortable bike.  The Katana has been my first bike and I have had no problems with it.  The bike handles great and aftermarket parts are widely available for it.

Handling

The Katana handles very well.  It is very stable at higher speeds.  When I first got the bike it did kind of seam a little heavy but I have not rode many street bikes.  Once you learn the bike you can really get into some turns.

Performance

The Katana is a fast bike.  The engine really kicks in at about 7,000 all the way to the redline at 11,000.  To get the most out of it like any other bike you need to get riding skills.  The Katana is a little cold natured but after a little warm up it will treat you right.  It also gets great gas mileage.
